What’s New in the Seaport District | August

With some of New York’s best restaurants, bars, luxury boutiques and unique outdoor spaces (like Pier 17 and the cobblestones of Fulton Street), the Seaport is always offering something new to see, do, taste and experience. No more so than in the summer, when pop-ups, art installations and special events hit the cobblestones and the pier. Like these latest additions to the neighborhood.

Wallplay
117 Beekman Street
26 Fulton Street

In addition to the Seaport’s Summer by the Sea art installations throughout the district, a partnership with Wallplay Network brings pop-up installations to two spaces in the neighborhood this summer.

Wallplay’s mission is to transform vacant commercial spaces and storefronts into venues for experimental creative projects.

Lauren Farrell NY
10 Fulton Street

The love of the game launched American fashion designer Lauren Farrell into business—she started out with a line of sporty handbags in 2015 and went on to create customized game-day bags for female fans looking for something unique and stylish to tote to the stadium. Farrell’s line has since developed beyond the game-day theme, with a range of stylish clutches, totes and cross-body bags. Peruse the collection at Lauren Farrell’s Seaport pop-up open until early September. (The perfect time to pick up something for the approaching football season.)

Alexis Bittar
6 Fulton Street

The perfect piece of jewelry can complete an outfit and Alexis Bittar’s elegant, bold creations more than fit the bill. The brand is best known for hand-carved Lucite bangles, a signature item since the label’s inception by designer Alexis Bittar in 1990. Along with these classics, you’ll find a range of luxurious yet accessible pieces—necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings—in the Alexis Bittar pop-up here in the Seaport.
