Annie Baker s+2
presents Infinite Life,
in conversation with Emily Stokes
at McNally Jackson s+6

Join Theatre Communications Group for a special event to celebrate the publication of Infinite Life by Annie Baker, an excerpt of which appeared in issue no. 238 (Winter 2021) of The Paris Review.

One of the most daring and unique voices in the American theatre, Baker will be in conversation with Emily Stokes, editor of The Paris Review. In Infinite Life, a group of strangers in search of healing (and pleasure) meet at an exclusive retreat. By exploring the relationship between, and juxtaposition of, pain and desire, Baker’s latest work begs the question, what would you do to feel better? Poignant, funny, and endearing, enjoy a reading and conversation about this new work.

Books will be available for purchase.

Annie Baker’s plays include The Antipodes, The Flick (Pulitzer Prize), John, The Aliens (Obie Award), Circle Mirror Transformation (Obie Award), and an adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. She is the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, Guggenheim Fellowship, Steinberg Playwright Award, American Academy of Arts and Letters Award, and the Cullman Fellowship at the New York Public Library. Baker’s debut film Janet Planet, which she wrote and directed, premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival, followed by a screening at the 2023 New York Film Festival, and a wide release in 2024 from A24 Films.

Emily Stokes is the editor of The Paris Review.
