Ensamble Artesano Pop-Up

Only from May 2 to May 12, authentic handmade decorative products will be on display at the Seaport.

Ensamble Artesano is a platform that brings together artisans from all over Mexico and will share space with Taller Maya, Alicia D ́core, This is Latin America and Vixiñuu, prestigious brands with whom we share the vision of spreading the stories of the artisans behind each product, honoring the traditions and cultural heritage of Mexico and the rest of Latin America.

Enjoy unique decorative pieces from Mexico and Latin America, made by different artisan communities and with different techniques. Each one tells the story of the living cultural heritage of their communities.

These unique pieces are only available in the United States, making this an unmissable opportunity for interior design and art lovers who live or travel in this country. We willshare space with four brands that promote Mexican and Latin American handcrafted design, for whom the value of the pieces lies in the stories they tell, in the expression of their cultural heritage, and in the people behind each creation.

The Mission S+5

Ensamble Artesano is a network in the Mexican artisan sector, founded with the purpose of reactivating the artisan economy affected by the pandemic, is managed by Fundación Haciendas del Mundo Maya and seeks to strengthen and professionalize the work of artisan communities.

Its focus is on protecting Mexican cultural and artisanal heritage through the articulated work between communities and designers, to create conditions of fair trade and social impact for each person and their environment. The income generated from this collection is reinvested in strategies to further strengthen the sector after covering marketing costs. It also connects artisans to broader markets and professional development opportunities.

At Vixiñuu, our mission is to honor Mexico’s artisanal heritage while empowering rural women and fostering sustainable development. Through our meticulously crafted resort wear, we blend traditional design with modern innovation, creating pieces that capture the essence of the contemporary woman.

Central to our ethos is a commitment to fair trade practices, ensuring that our artisan partners receive equitable compensation for their skill and dedication. We collaborate with local foundations to support initiatives that promote economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and environmental stewardship in rural communities.

By preserving cultural traditions, supporting livelihoods, and promoting social and environmental responsibility, we aim to redefine fashion as a force for positive change. At Vixiñuu, we believe in style with substance – where every garment tells a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and empowerment.
