This year, the Fourth of July party is bigger and better than ever for America’s 250th birthday. Fireworks are returning to the East River, along with Sail250, and there’s no better place to experience the show and festivities than right here in the Seaport. Whether you’re looking for a celebratory one-night-only dining experience, or a family-friendly way to take in the lights, we have you covered.

It’s hard to get any closer to the action than this southern-meets-the-ocean bar, situated practically under the Brooklyn Bridge. Reserve your prime seats on their sidewalk, along with an open bar of beer, wine, and frozen margaritas. Snack on a USA Buffet, with American classics like country fried chicken fingers, hot dog sliders, and key lime pie.

Seaport Museum

This soon-to-be-opened spot is giving us a preview of their offerings for the big 250th, right outside on the cobblestones. Try a pour of their original beers, snag some limited edition merch, taste the debut of their six speciality cocktails (featuring six exclusive spirits!), and dine on an All-American BBQ plate at any of their three seatings.

Public Viewing S+4

 

Public viewing will be available from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the lower East River with the show launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and four surrounding barges. Additional details on public viewing, as well as aCitysponsored lottery for free public viewing tickets will be announced in the coming weeks, which includes locations in the Seaport.

Coolers, blankets, and large bags are not permitted in the NYPD secure zone. All items brought into the space are subject to search by NYPD, and guests may be asked to discard items prior to entry. The Seaport is not liable for any items that are not permitted into the secure zone by NYPD. Strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers are allowed but are also subject to search by NYPD.
