How We’re Giving
Holiday meals. Togetherness. For us, these highlights of the Thanksgiving holiday are very much tied to gratitude and the importance of giving. Which is why, for the third year in a row, members of our Seaport teams came together on November 21, 2022, to channel these values in support of our local Lower Manhattan community.
Our goal? To prepare delicious holiday meals for our neighbors in need. Our crew? Some of the Seaport’s top chefs — Jean-Georges Vongerichten (The Fulton), Andrew Carmellini (Carne Mare, Mister Dips) — along with volunteers and members of the Creative Culinary Management team, NoHo Hospitality Group, and The Howard Hughes Corporation.
Together, our Seaport family prepared 1,350 Thanksgiving plates featuring all the holiday classics — turkey, stuffing, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and all the fixings, plus cookies and dessert. Our partners at Vision Urbana delivered the meals to our friends living in Section 8 family and senior housing, Rutgers Slip, and the Jacob Riis NYC Public Housing.
We’re grateful to Vision Urbana, as well as our other partners, and to everyone who helped us make this year’s day of giving a success.
