Summer. Seaport Style.

Summer. Seaport Style.

Hello, sunshine! Summer has arrived in the Seaport—with the promise of more warm days by the water, al fresco brunches and sunset happy hours to come over the next few months. In addition to a slate of new openings we welcomed in the spring, we’re excited for the relaunch of some of our favorite community programs, plus pop-ups and new outdoor events perfect for making the most of the good weather.

Here’s what’s on tap in the neighborhood:

Sweat it Out at Seaport Fit
Free fitness classes led by NYC’s top trainers return to Pier 17 with the summer session of Seaport Fit. Our fearless partners, Trooper Fitness, Lyons Den Power Yoga and Pure Barre NYC are back, along with HIIT The Deck, a high-intensity boxing-inspired workout that will get your blood pumping. Classes fill up quickly, but don’t let a “sold out” notice deter you from getting your sweat on, because walk-in spots are available. (Spots are released 10 minutes before classes start, if there are no-shows.) Check out the schedules and reserve your spots here.

Catch Seaport Cinema on The Rooftop
Outdoor movies are a go-to summer tradition in NYC, and it’s hard to think of a better place to catch one than at Seaport Cinema, located at The Greens on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Enjoy sunset bites and drinks with the Brooklyn Bridge as your backdrop, then settle in on your own mini-lawn for a family flick or rom-com favorite. The crowd-sourced lineup and dates can be found here. Each lawn can accommodate up to 8 guests, with a reservation fee of $20.

Get Your Groove on with Seaport Sounds
What will the soundtrack of your summer be? Swing by the cobblestones, the Heineken Riverdeck and The Greens on summer evenings and you might just find your track of the season, courtesy of the Seaport Sounds lineup of live music and DJ sets. On Thursday nights, the north side of Pier 17 is the place to be for live DJs and Heinekens; Friday nights are for catching rising bands on the Fulton Street Stage at the corner of Fulton and Front Streets. And on Sundays, you can soak up the sun with brunch and beats at The Greens on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Bookmark this page for the summer schedules for each location.

Raise a Glass at Garden Bar
If you haven’t dropped by yet, Garden Bar, located on the cobblestones outside Cobble & Co. is as pretty as a picture—and the perfect place to cool off on hot days in the city. Happy Hour is from 3pm–6pm Monday to Friday, with nachos, fish tacos beer and frozen cocktails on the menu. You can also make reservations for Cobble & Co. via Resy and request seating at Garden Bar to enjoy brunch, lunch and dinner. Get more info here.

Cool Off with a Cone at Mister Dips
Nothing says summer like soft-serve, and you can now enjoy the delicious creations from Mister Dips on Pier 17. The new spot, which also serves irresistible burgers and fries, is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:30am–10pm. Get a taste of all the fun at @eatmisterdips on Instagram.

Get a Sweet Fix at Funny Face
Funny Face Bakery comes to the Seaport this summer, serving their famous 6 oz. chocolate chip cookies and a slate of pop culture-themed sugar cookies—we’re talking sweets in the shape of iconic products, pop stars, political figures, memes and more. Custom cookies featuring your face are also available to order.

Be Inspired by Street Dreams Magazine
NYC’s creative pulse is back, as evidenced by the work now on show at Celebrating the Wins, an outdoor gallery presented by Street Dreams Magazine. From now through July 30th, you can visit the exhibition curated by Street Dreams co-founder and creative director Steven John Irby, aka Steve Sweatpants, and also enjoy a series of events hosted by the Street Dreams team, like a flea market showcasing independent designers, an NFT art day, and live DJ sets and podcast recordings. Get all the details here

And there’s more…
As we outlined in our spring update, there’s no shortage of fun places to eat and drink in the Seaport this summer, chief among them The Greens, where you can enjoy summer bites and cocktails on your own mini-lawn on The Rooftop at Pier 17. The pier is also home to the new Momofuku Ssäm Bar, helmed by Chef Eunjo Park and Carne Mare, the new Italian chophouse from Chef Andrew Carmellini. As always, The Fulton and Malibu Farm are great places for al fresco dining on the pier as well.
