Candy. Chances are you have a surplus of it after the weekend’s trick or treating and Halloween festivities. If you’re over the sugar rush, and looking for a meaningful way to give back, Operation Gratitude may have the answer. The nonprofit organization supporting members of the military, veterans, and first responders is hosting its annual Halloween Candy Give Back Program—and you can donate right here at the Seaport, at Cobble & Co.

 Just look for the Operation Gratitude donation box at Cobble & Co.—where you can bring individually wrapped, fun- or bite-sized Halloween candy through November 14 (one important note—powdered candy, unwrapped and homemade items cannot be accepted).

If you’re able to take part in this sweet movement, you’ll be joining volunteers from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., who share their excess candy with Operation Gratitude. The team then distributes the candy to deployed troops, local military units, veterans, and first responders across the country. In another challenging year like 2021, this small gesture is a simple yet much appreciated way to say thank you to those who serve our nation.

Note — candy requests are closed for 2021, but you can still request care packages here.
