at 2023 S+3
As we celebrate another great year in the Seaport, we want to thank you, our community, for making it so bright.
Here’s a look back at what happened in the neighborhood this year:
- Hosted more than 95 FREE public events & activations, including many cultural holiday celebrations (see them all in the 2023 recap video below!).
- Funded 16 public art exhibits, featuring 27 local artists and supporting 5 local non-profit arts organizations.
- Supported more than 550 small & local vendors in partnership with Hester Street Fair.
- Welcomed 6 new businesses to the neighborhood.
- Contributed more than $550,000 to local non-profit organizations. Howard Hughes is proud to support: Peck Slip School, Spruce Street School, Taste of the Seaport, South Street Seaport Museum, National September 11 Museum, Waterfront Alliance, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, All Stars Project, Lower Manhattan Historical Association, NYPD First Precinct, NAMI-NYC, Manhattan Youth, University Settlement, Toys for Tots, American Red Cross, Amfar, Choose Love, Rise to Win, and New York Cares.
- Provided more than 1,500 meals, alongside Vision Urbana, which were distributed to those in need in our extended community.
- Donated 100 brand-new children’s coats to Peck Slip School, filling a need for warm winter clothing for new students.
