About Wind Support 

Wind Support NYC is a pioneering organization founded in December 2020 by two Bretons, now New Yorkers, committed to revolutionizing maritime transport. We’re addressing the urgent challenge of global shipping’s environmental impact—responsible for 3% of global GHG emissions—by advocating for and accelerating the adoption of wind propulsion technologies. Through collaboration with technology developers, ship owners, operators, cargo owners, and trade associations, we aim to significantly reduce the shipping industry’s carbon footprint, making sustainable wind-powered shipping the standard for transporting consumer goods, commodities, and energy worldwide.
