Fall at the Seaport

Fall at the Seaport

Apple cider. Fresh pies. Halloween and the Pumpkin Arch. Yes, it’s fall at the Seaport. If this isn’t already your favorite time of year in New York City, let us convince you. Our fall highlights include a host of tasty events and seasonal specials throughout the neighborhood. Here’s what’s on tap.

Taste of the Seaport

Also back: the neighborhood’s feel-good festival that benefits our local school students. Taste of the Seaport brings together more than 30 of Lower Manhattan’s best restaurants for an afternoon of food, music, and family-friendly fun on Saturday, October 16. Come on out to Piers 16 and 17 between 12pm–3pm: Enjoy dishes from local haunts including Eataly Downtown, Brooklyn Chop House, Fresh Salt and more. Learn from the pros on the demo stage. Let the littles play at the KidsZone. The Pier Bar will be open for adult refreshments. Visit tasteoftheseaport.org for more info and to buy tickets.

Hester Street Fair

Stroll the pier. Meet makers and creators. Soak up the sun—and the good vibes. The Hester Street Fair is now at the Seaport—and you can experience its fall magic on Saturday, October 9, and Saturday, October 30, 11am–6pm, at Pier 17. Accessible, diverse, laidback—yes, yes and yes. Hester Street Fair is all about community, and its vendors will welcome you with local brews, baked goods, and a DJ spinning vinyl all day long. Shop for art, gifts or the perfect cozy layers. Even if you just come and say hi, you can count on going home with more than a little inspiration. Get a sneak peek on the fair’s IG.

Halloween at the Seaport

Dress up. Get your spook on. There’s no place like the Seaport this Halloween weekend. It all starts on Saturday, October 30, with both Hester Street Fair and Fulton Stall Market bringing the fall flavors. Kids can paint pumpkins at the South Street Seaport Museum and get into Trick or Treating on Fulton Street. (Hint: our stores and restaurants will have candy). There’s more of the same on Sunday, October 31, with an all-out Halloween Block Party on Fulton Street from 12pm–5pm. Expect live music, balloon art, face-painting and, of course, a kids’ costume contest. Get the full rundown.

Fall Food & Drinks

Harvest bounty. Cozy cocktails. Fall may be the best season of all for eating and drinking. You’ll see this in action at the bars and restaurants throughout the Seaport. At Mister Dips, fall takes the form of a Bacon Hatch Chili Burger and two special cones for October—the Think Pink (to support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer) and the Trixy Treat. Mister Dips is now open seven days a week, 11:30am–10pm—and stays open an hour later on the nights there’s a concert on The Rooftop at Pier 17.
