Witness the northern lights, downtown
Skate beneath the Northern Lights right here at the Seaport. Aurora, an overheard light installation designed by Ithaca Studio, brings the magic of the Northern Lights to the Ice Rink. More than 4,000 individually controlled overhead lights will emulate the star-lit sky so skaters can sail on ice beneath a close-to-lifelike Aurora Borealis. Color and light shows, complete with shooting stars, will be set to music, and each month the Aurora will feature a unique theme.

Cozy up at The Sapphire Cabin
Warm up in comfort. Chase Sapphire® Reserve and Preferred cardmembers have exclusive access to the Sapphire Cabin, a heated lounge with ample seating located rink-side. Take advantage of complimentary lockers and phone chargers, and enter and exit the ice with ease. Sapphire Reserve cardmembers who show their card will also receive a voucher redeemable for a free item at the Tin Building while supplies last.

Where is the rink?
The ice rink is located on Seaport Square, between Piers 16 & 17. Address is 89 South Street, New York, NY 10038.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
Walk-ins are welcome even if a skate session is sold out online. Our staff will do their best to get walk-ins on the ice at the next availability while adhering to rink guidelines.
If a skate session is available online, it is strongly recommended you reserve a rink ticket (with or without skate rental) ahead of your visit to assure quickest entry.
How long can I skate?
Skate time may be limited to 75 minutes from your ticket’s start time during times of high volume. Please note late entry is permitted but your total skate time may be reduced because of late arrival. Should you arrive late our staff will do their very best to get you on the ice as soon as availability allows.
Where can I store my items?
Lockers are available for storing your items, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note the lockers do not have locks, so guests are advised to bring their own.
Are purchases refundable?
No. All purchases are final sale and cannot be refunded, unless in the case of weather.
