Cozy side dishes made from seasonal ingredients. Pumpkin-flavored desserts. Bacon burgers and football fare. This is fall on a plate at the Seaport. With autumn’s harvest at their fingertips, the neighborhood’s culinary teams are turning out all sorts of tempting fall specials. Here’s what to look for when you swing by for a taste.
With its farm-to-table, veggie-forward approach, you can always count on Malibu Farm to spin something delicious out of seasonal ingredients. This fall, it’s something sweet. The Roasted Pumpkin Sundae pairs pumpkin-spiced ice cream with a roasted mini pumpkin, pecans, and toasted Swiss meringue. Good news: this dessert is also on Malibu Farm’s Thanksgiving day prix-fixe menu on Thursday, November 25th. Bonus from the bar: Mulled wine and hot toddies will also be available this fall.
Pair a seasonal dinner with timeless views of the Brooklyn Bridge at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s seafood-specialty restaurant at Pier 17. The fall vibes are strong, with a host of special dishes on the menu.
If pasta’s your jam, try the Mezze Rigatoni with peekytoe crab, eggplant and parmesan. Autumnal mains include the Roasted Organic Chicken with fingerling potatoes and broccoli rabe, the Crusted Faroe Island Salmon with fennel, celery root and kumquat, and Black Sea Bass with Cauliflower Purée, Broccoli Rabe and Chili Oil. You’ll also find peak fall flavor in the Seared Diver Scallops with roasted pumpkin seeds, spaghetti squash and soy-yuzu broth, and the Swordfish Milanese with honeynut squash, Asian pear, passionfruit and candied ginger. For dessert? Fig Tart with honey ice cream and candied walnuts.
A three-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu will be available on Thanksgiving Day from 12–8pm.
The handsome dining room of Andrew Carmellini’s Italian chophouse is the perfect place to cozy up on a crisp fall evening. The menu features classic cuts of steak and Italian seafood dishes—along with a few irresistible fall specials. Whet your appetite with the Wagyu Beef Tartare, served with tonnato sauce and Sardinian paper bread. Whatever you order as a main, the Roasted Brussels Sprouts with guanciale agrodolce and the Honeynut Squash “cacio e pepe” will have you rethinking your favorite sides.
Carne Mare is now open seven days a week for dinner and will be open on Thanksgiving from 1–9pm.
Elevate your game-night dinner with a dash of Momofuku magic. Football games are streamed live on Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights, so you can root for your team as you share spiced pepper wings, sweet-and-sour ribs, and large plates perfect for sharing. This fall, Ssäm Bar is also offering a fall Frojolais slushie, made with Beaujolais, crème de mure, Montenegro, lustau jarana, raspberry, and orange.
Your neighborhood spot for beers, burgers and a whole lot more is getting into the spirit of the harvest season with a new Pumpkin Cheesecake available over Halloween weekend. Sports-lover? This is your season, too! Cobble & Co. just launched a game-day Beer & Wings special available all day Sunday, and from 5pm to close on Monday and Thursday—enjoy a serve of Cobble’s spicy chicken wings, with a bucket of beer for $40.
We’ve mentioned this one before, but a seasonal Bacon Hatch Chili Burger is worth repeating. Don’t miss your chance to indulge in this burger special for fall. Got room for dessert? There’s still time to try October’s specialty cones, the Think Pink—vanilla cream and pink berry, with proceeds supporting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer—and the Trixy Treat, a Halloween-themed dairy dip with jack-o’-lantern custard and a spooky chocolate shell.
Mister Dips is open seven days a week from 11:30am–10pm.
The mini lawns are closed from the summer season, but The Greens remain open daily with its cozy rooftop bar for drinks, delicious dishes, and weekend brunch indoors. Sweet or spicy, refreshing or warming, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for with a Bespoke Craft Cocktail, tailored to your exact taste. Plus, enjoy happy hour specials from 4-7pm Monday-Friday, with $8 draft beers, $10 Bartender’s Choice cocktails, and $12 well drinks or wine.
